New resources unveiled to help users make the most of a powerful new free data platform
To help unlock the region’s innovation potential a coalition of Midlands-based initiatives (Midlands Innovation, Forging Ahead, Midlands Mindforge, and the Invest in UK University R&D – Midlands Campaign), and leading data intelligence firm Dealroom, has launched the Midlands Ecosystem platform—a free, open-access digital gateway to the region’s £31bn innovation economy.
The platform marks a major milestone in the Midlands’ journey to becoming a globally recognised innovation hub.
Following the successful recent launch of the platform, together with Dealroom, we hosted a number of free webinars to give potential users of the free platform the knowledge on how best use it. If you weren’t able to join any of the sessions, but you would like to learn more about the free to use platform and how you can get the most out of it, you can now catch up with one of four tailored webinar recordings and bespoke resources including ‘how to’ guides.
What is platform?
The dynamic data hub is designed to empower founders, investors, universities, industry leaders, and policymakers with real-time insights and actionable intelligence. It brings together data on nearly 6,000 startups in the Midlands, including 400 university spinouts, and connects users to 54 science and tech campuses, accelerators, corporates, and over 1,000 active investors.
How can I join the platform and how do I view the webinar recordings?
Whether you’re in a university team, an investor, a founder or policymaker, you can catch-up on a bespoke webinar recording and further resources which guide you through in detail on how you can use the platform for your specific needs.
For universities the webinar recording will show you how to track supported companies and alumni, maintain and monitor comprehensive profiles for spinouts and alumni-founded companies.
For founders the webinar shows you how to claim your business, find investors and benchmark similar companies by comparing growth, funding, hiring and technology against local peers and sector cohorts.
