2025 is a special year for Midlands Innovation, as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary. This milestone provides us with an opportunity to reflect on our journey of growth to date and to shape our ambitions for the next ten years.
Over the past decade, our partnership has gone from strength to strength. The relationships between our members have matured, enabling us to deliver ground-breaking projects, impactful and long-standing collaborations, and crucial legacy projects that have paved the way forward. The collective dedication demonstrated since our establishment has helped to create the thriving innovation ecosystem we see in the Midlands today.

This series will showcase the evolution and impact of our key projects, networks, and initiatives over the years. Case studies will include our work supporting the technical community and how we have sought to develop the spin-out ecosystem in the Midlands, among others.
This topical series of events and features will focus on the role our partnership can play in shaping a world-leading and future-ready R&D ecosystem in the Midlands over the next 10 years. Roundtable events and feature articles will review our progress to date and explore the steps needed to achieve growth ambitions in the region.

Over the past ten years Midlands Innovation has grown and flourished as a result of a commitment to collaboration from our fantastic university partners. Together, we have achieved much to be proud of - including impactful projects that have left a lasting legacy. Looking forwards, I am confident that the continued commitment to collaboration we see across our partnership will deliver new impactful initiatives and further strengthen the thriving Midlands research and innovation ecosystem.
