Developing our future workforce

Skills and training are vital to the economic prosperity of the whole country.

We collectively attract students and researchers from around the globe, generally welcoming more than 154,000 students across our partners. This future workforce is supported and inspired by over 34,000 staff.

Our postgraduate research programmes saw over 11,000 students enrolled in multiple academic areas ranging from robotics and next generation batteries development, energy research, biomedical engineering and additive manufacturing, through to pharmacy dispensing processes, the cultural aspects of patient safety and social and economic policy.

The high-level skills and training our partners deliver provide the future workforce with the knowledge and confidence to apply and develop innovative new technologies, deliver policy changes and drive enterprise in our ever-changing global communities.
